Saturday - a big day of dance

Classes all day 9.30am-6.00pm, Bath Sports & Leisure Centre, Tickets £6 lasts all day, £3 children 16 and under with adult accompaniment.
Saturday is one of the biggest opportunities to try out those famous styles of dance with top teachers. Go along to the Sports Centre and try your hand at many different styles of dance, African, Swing, Kizomba... The list is nearly endless and specially extended this year:

If that's not enough, go and catch all the fun in the Abbey Square during the day with many local dancers exhibiting their talents as part of the Festival weekend. Other local dance groups will be appearing throughout the day.

 

Sunday is World Record & Masked Ball Day!

Morning - Inter-Schools Dance Competition 2010, for Bath & North East Somerset School children and their families. Full details for schools available here.

Noon - Come and see the huge spectacle of the Worlds Largest Umbrella Dance as the regions school children come together in the city for this amazing dance. Full details for schools here.

Evening, The Festival Masked Ball, 7.30pm - 1am, The Assembly Rooms whole suite, Tickets £25 - with no less than three leading live dance bands in three themed dance rooms, this is a rare opportunity to enjoy the fabulous Assembly Rooms suite of ballrooms in Bath and a wonderful range of live music to dance the night away. With ballroom and Latin Dancing, hot salsa and Latino, Milonga and even a world-class Latin American cabaret from Neil Jones & Ekaterina Sokolova, this is an event not to be missed.... and of course the best mask competition! Monday - a classy end to a great weekend.

Classes 10.00am-12.00noon, The Assembly Rooms, Tickets £3 for all-class pass, or free with Dancestars Show ticket.

Sit back and watch the closing afternoon of the dance festival with this wonderful collection of dance acts in a unique cabaret show.

Undoubtedly this is a dance experience like no other. In the intimate setting of this period ballroom in Bath, an all-round audience are within touching distance of some of these incredible dancers performing their breathtaking shows. As part of a full programme of entertainment we take you on a dancing journey showing you the breadth and impact dance can have. Sit back, relax and enjoy this entertaining dance afternoon bringing the festival to an unforgettable close for another year. Note this year the Dancestars Show will also see the unveiling of the International Dance Festival's tribute statue. Further details will be available here.
